The Role :
In this position, you will be working with a team of Atlassian Administrators supporting Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Bitbucket. This will include both support and new development.
What you’ll do :
- JIRA: Create projects, JQL queries, customize screens, fields, permissions, and notifications.
- JIRA: Create/edit custom workflows: conditions, validators, and post functions.
- Provide ongoing support and configuration maintenance to users: address user questions and provide training if needed.
- Communicate with the users and stakeholders to understand their use cases and business needs and help them use the Atlassian tools to improve their processes.
- Extend the functionality of the tools by utilizing 3rd party add-ons such as ScriptRunner, Tempo Timesheets, JIRA MISC Workflow Extension, Configuration Manager, etc...
- Work on consolidation of instances by migrating projects/spaces from one instance to another.
- Create and maintain detailed technical and user facing documentation.
- Develop/maintain integration between Atlassian and other systems (i.e.. Active Directory).
- Actively monitors support ticketing system and consistently contributes time to resolving issues, whether minor or critical, in a timely manner.
What you’ll bring :
- 1+ years of experience with JIRA administration (workflows, screens, fields, permissions)
- Experience migrating instances (from Server to Server, Cloud to Server, Server to Cloud, etc..)
- Experience with the installation, upgrading and configuration of the latest versions of Atlassian tools (Server/Data Center version).
- Experience working with other Atlassian tools (Jira Service Desk, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Experience with the Server or Data Center version of the Atlassian tools is a plus.
- Solid understanding of troubleshooting, ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Basic scripting (Python or Groovy) experience.
- Basic understanding of Tomcat Server & reverse proxy configurations.
- Familiarity with various integration technologies including APIs, REST, JSON and 3rd party tools
- Basic understanding of Unix/Linux and Oracle/Postgres DB administration.
- Fluency in oral and written English.
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong sense of initiative and learning.
- Working knowledge of Agile development processes
- Data analysis and interpretation skills
- Deliver consistent, positive results in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, priority shifting environment.
- Effectively manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
